What is a Series?

A series is a written agreement between CTV and a recognized volunteer producer/sponsor in which CTV assigns facility/and or equipment usage and channel space which is used by the Volunteer producer/sponsor to produce programming to be Cablecast on CTV's channels.

Who can apply for a series?

• A recognized CTV volunteer producer with a valid ID who is certified in the production area requested and has produced and has produced at least three program utilizing CTV's facilities and/or equipment.
• A volunteer producer applying for a studio series must have produced three series programs prior to the application process. Anyone applying for a portable series must have completed three portable projects. Please note that the programs already produced do not have to be related to the series program requested.
• Individuals who wish to sponsor programs that have been produced outside of CTV must have completed the orientation and the policy and procedures classes, have tapes that conform to the technical standards stipulated by cablecast and demonstrate the ability to submit programming in a timely fashion. Additionally, they must have a CTV Sponsor ID.

How do I apply for Series?

•Series applications are available twice a year (in February and August). Applications for the upcoming series which runs Fall/Winter 2008 will be available beginning Monday, July 14, 2008 at 9am.

Where can I get an application?

• Series applications can be picked up in person at CTV located in the Time/Warner building at 100 Cable Way in Staten Island.
• The application form can also be downloaded here on our website begining Monday, July 14, 2008 and faxed to CTV at (718) 981-5774.
