The CTV “Policies and Procedures” manual is amended by the addition of a Section XIV at the end thereof as follows:

XIV.   PROHIBITED INVOLVEMENT OF CTV STAFF AND EMPLOYEES IN THE PRODUCTION OF PROGRAMMING TO BE SHOWN ON CTV CHANNELS

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein or elsewhere, CTV staff members and employees may not be involved in the production of programming to be shown on CTV channels except in the normal course of the employee’s or staff member’s duties as a CTV staff member or employee, or as specifically directed or permitted by the Executive Director.   Such prohibition will apply to involvement in any manner whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, and will include, but not be limited to, filming, production, staging, or editing.  Any productions, which are produced in violation of this restriction, will not be shown on CTV channels. 

It shall be the responsibility of the producer to determine whether a CTV staff member or employee has such direction or permission prior to the submission of any production for airing on CTV channels.

           
The Executive Director is empowered to make, implement, and enforce rules and regulations in this regard.
